Cross Country 2010-11 | YISSPN

The girls team grew to be the largest it has been at YISS in 2010.  The team even included JV runners to fill holes when varsity runners were out.  The team leaders were phenomenal.  All year, the girls struggled to close the gap between the top few varsity runners and the next few.  In the end, they were successful in this endeavor, but this happened too late in the season to affect their KAIAC placement.  More than anything, this season laid the groundwork for the team to build on for next year.  Elsie Chung was a wonderful team leader and Kimmie Casto will be ready to fill her shoes (not literally).
